JOBS & VOLUNTEERING
OPPORTUNITIES
Help us in our mission to save Heritage at Risk and be rewarded by knowing that you doing something good
Working & Volunteering for The Heritage Trust
Within The Heritage Trust, we have people with various skills who come from all types of backgrounds but we all share a passion for heritage. Some devote a large proportion of their free time whilst others just help every now and then. One of our aims is to involve as many people that we can and enable knowledge of heritage to be passed on. Most of the roles we offer are unpaid though occasionally funding is gained for specific positions but most of us just get involved to help to save Heritage at Risk. Rewards come in many forms and ours is often from the sense of satisfaction gained from doing something good and knowing that we are preserving our heritage for future generations.
If you share our passion for heritage and would like to have the chance to get involved please take a look at our latest opportunities below.
Trustee Position
Would you like to be part of an organisation which is passionate about the UK’s heritage and one which is helping to save historic buildings at risk? If the answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you and give you the opportunity to join our team.
Currently, we are looking for a new trustee who is based in the East Midlands to join us to assist in the running of the Trust and to help us rescue the “Bretby Art Pottery Showroom”.
Ideally, you will share our passion for the historic environment, want to help in the rescue of historic buildings and have some time to give. Being a trustee you will be involved in all of the decision-making of The Heritage Trust and be part of a progressive non-profit organisation which is making a difference to our heritage at risk.
As part of The Heritage Trusts core group, you must be within easy commuting distance of our current project and be able to attend at least six trustee meetings each year that are normally held in Derby. The role will be purely voluntary, however, there are funding opportunities to learn new skills and experience.
If you would like to express an interest, then please send a copy of your CV along with a single A4 page detailing your skills and experience and motivation to become a trustee of The Heritage Trust to admin@heritagetrust.org.uk. Or download the short expression of interest form below and return to admin@heritagetrust.org.uk.
