Today we received some great news that our application for fundraising training was successful and we now have 6 days of training to look forward to.
The training is through the Giving to Heritage scheme that is provided by the Heritage Alliance and is being match-funded via the Heritage Lottery Fund Start-up grant that was awarded to us in 2016.
Between now and the end of the year our trustees will attend Executive Coaching sessions with Jo O’Sullivan, a fundraising consultant with over 20 years’ experience. The course will be tailored to our specific needs and will enable a fundraising strategy to be developed for our latest project, the Bretby Art Pottery Showroom.
The Giving to Heritage scheme commenced in 2014 being funded under the Heritage Lottery Catalyst programme, Arts Council England and DCMS to provide training that is designed to increase financial resilience and confidence to the independent heritage sector. Along with the Executive Coaching webinars on various topics have been produced and workshops have been held at different locations in the UK.
