The Heritage Trust photography competition 2018
The theme for our Photography Competition this year is "Lost"
Photographs can be of buildings and traditional skills/crafts that are on the verge of being lost forever.
Our latest project, The Bretby Art Pottery is the inspiration behind our decision to choose this year's theme because it was on the verge of being lost before we acquired it. Like many industrial buildings, our building is associated with historic skills and crafts that are disappearing.
The competition is open to anyone from the UK with the following categories:
-
Junior - for those who are under 16's.
-
Students - for those in higher education.
-
Amateur - for those who photography is a hobby.
In each category, the winner and three runners-up will have their photographs featured in The Heritage Trust's 2019 calendar that will be sold and distributed throughout the UK with the proceeds going towards the Bretby Showroom restoration project.
As well as having their images included in our calendar winners and runners-up from each of the categories will have the chance to win a fantastic prize.
All of the entries we receive will be entered into the first-round and shortlisted by our trustees for progression to round two with the final judging taking place on the 30th of June.
To help to raise money towards our latest project "The Bretby Art Pottery Showroom" a small entry fee is being charged:
Junior & Student £3 - Amateur £5
